SC-932 AFJROTC $500 Scholarship

AFJROTC will award one $500 scholarship for Academic Year 2018 to a Senior cadet who is planning on attending further education after High School such as a Technical School, Community College, or Four-Year College.  To be eligible, cadets must have a minimum of two years AFJROTC experience and have participated in AFJROTC during their Senior year.  Cadets must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and be in good standing in the Cadet Corps and James F. Byrnes High School.

To compete for the AFJROTC Scholarship, cadets must submit a 1000-1200 word essay on the following question:

There are many trouble-spots in our world today including the Civil War in Syria, the Taliban in Afghanistan, a repressive regime in North Korea, and the Drug War in Mexico.  Pick one of these trouble-spots.  If you were the President of the United States, how would you address the problems in this area?

Submissions are due to Colonel Dobson in electronic format (Times New Roman, 12 pitch, double-spaced) by 1630 on Wednesday, 25 April 2018 .  The essays will be evaluated by an impartial panel of active duty military officers.
